Are You Liberal?

Are you from California?  The East Coast?  Did you leave a small town of small-minded people?

Consider yourself a staunch Democrat?

What does it mean to be a Democrat? A Liberal?  On the Left?

I assume you would say that to be liberal means to believe in Enlightenment rationalism.  Human rights.  Human reason. All humans are created equal.  All humans have equal value.  You believe in a secular and free society.

It may surprise you to find out that people who believe in Critical Race Theory—the woke, the social justice warriors—do not believe in these values.  Critical Race Theory rejects the values of a liberal, secular, free society. 

In fact, Critical Race Theory is explicitly designed to dismantle the foundations of liberal democracy.  That’s its stated goal.
